ABE UK – University Pathways

Holders of Coventry University’s (ONCAMPUS) ABE Level 3 Certificate in Business Essentials and ABE Level 4 Foundation Diploma in Business Management will be able to apply individually for admittance to the International Year One (IY1) course. The IY1 program at Coventry University allows successful students to continue to Year 2 of various business-related degrees, including BA (Hons), Business Administration BA (Hons), International Business BA (Hons), and International Business Management IBM.

The University of Hertfordshire – To be eligible, entrance learners must have completed an ABE Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma from the current (RQF) syllabus and have English language skills comparable to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band). Alternatively, they can have 240 credits from our Level 5 and 6 Diploma. Course duration is part-time for three consecutive semesters (12 months).

CTH-UK

    • CTH Management Programs are recognized by institutions as equivalent to degree-level studies.

    • CTH offers a number of university pathways for Management and Culinary credentials. Our Level 4 Diploma and Level 5 Advanced Diploma graduates are qualified for direct entry into a wide range of hospitality and tourism degree programs. Similarly, Level 7 Executive Diploma graduates may progress to the final stages of an MBA.

 

Please keep in mind that admission to any university is always subject to a variety of criteria. Possession of the necessary academic entry qualifications is an important part of this, but students must also satisfy the university that they have the required English level (typically through an appropriate IELTS score) and can demonstrate suitable character during a one-on-one admissions interview. Some colleges may also require students to have a specific quantity of relevant work experience.

UK–University Pathways for CTH Students

    • The CTH Level 3 Foundation Diploma is equivalent to A-Level on the UK qualification structure, making it eligible for entry to university degree programs in Year 1.

 

    • The CTH Level 4 Diploma is equivalent to the first year of a university Bachelor’s Degree, allowing for accelerated entrance into Year 2 of a degree program.

 

    • The CTH Level 5 Advanced Diploma is ranked on the UK system of qualifications as being equivalent to the second year of a university Bachelor’s Degree and is therefore generally recognized for advanced entrance into Year 3 (Final Year).

 

    • The CTH Level 6 Professional Diploma is equivalent to Year 3 (Final Year) of a university Bachelor’s Degree, making it eligible for conversion (University of Derby) or entrance to Master’s Degree programs under the UK credentials framework.

 

    • The CTH Level 7 Executive Diploma is equal to a university Master’s Degree on the UK credentials framework, making it eligible for conversion (dissertation required).

 

    • London South Bank University (LSBU)- It offers vocational qualifications that enhance graduates’ job possibilities. As a result, LSBU is currently ranked sixth in the UK for graduate beginning salary. Students may apply for admission to the second or final year of the BA (Hons) Tourism and Hospitality Programme, as suitable. CTH and LSBU have a progression agreement that ensures CTH students’ admission to the second or final year of the LSBU undergraduate Tourism and Hospitality program.

 

    • Bournemouth University is a globally acknowledged leader in knowledge development in tourism and hospitality. Holders of a CTH Level 5 Advanced Diploma certification can gain admission (subject to application) to the final year of Bournemouth University’s Hospitality and Tourism Degree programs.

 

    • Coventry University College- Coventry ranked second in The Guardian league chart for Tourism, Events, and Hospitality in 2016. CTH students can take advantage of exciting growth options at Coventry University College.

 

    • Students with a Level 4 Diploma in Travel Agency Management or Tourism Management at the University of Northampton can advance to the HND Travel and Tourism course. Students completing the Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management can continue to the last year of their BA (Hons) in International Tourism Management.

 

    • The University of Derby allows graduates of CTH Level 5 Hospitality Management and CTH Level 6 Tourism & Hospitality Management to advance into bachelor’s degree programs.

 

  • University College Birmingham (UCB) welcomes CTH students who have earned Level 4 and 5 Diplomas for their final year (Year 3) Bachelor’s Degree program. Holders of the CTH Level 4 Diploma and Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management can apply to the last year (Year 3) of the following programs.
